Description:

You are a worm who must cross the sidewalk. Try to avoid being stepped on or run over and stick to the wet parts of the sidewalk to avoid drying out.

1st place winner of Otterjam 2024.

The controls are strange and can be difficult, heres a tip: you can develop a rythm for movement by moving the mouse down as you press the inch button and then release the inch button as you fling the mouse upwards.

If you experience any issues please let me know in the comments so I can look into them.

Controls:

Move the mouse to move the worm (WASD also works but isnt recommended)

Left Mouse to inch the worm

R to restart from checkpoint

L to switch between Performance mode and normal mode (Performance mode recommended for web version)

i really sympathize with worms. this game has changed my perspective.

after getting flung by bright yellow shoes, ran over, flung into a crack...safe to say i not only felt for this worm but felt satisfied that i was able to get onto the concrete in the first place. really fun game!!

and poor worms.

It was so cute and healthy that the worms were desperately trying to cross the road. ✨️
When I was frantically moving the mouse, it was pretty hard to move the worm's head and hips from getting tangled up with it!
I almost got run over by a bicycle and went crazy because my body got entangled so many times when I was almost dry, but I managed to get through it!
It was a lot of fun, meow~🐈️

my playthrough

(+1)

I dried in a crack tied up in a knot.

Man is that hard. I wish I could turn all the way around since there were often times I wanted to go sideways but couldn't quite point in that direction. I'm sure that translating 2D mouse movements to 3D worm movements is not trivial, though. Well done, it's just a pain.
